    Carol,
Your blog brought back many memories of those days with Jerry and prayers which were answered with a “no”. And our prayers for Dick when we received the same answer. God, in His sovereignty, had plans for us beyond our farthest imagination. Happiness returned with Don and Bob. Now Bob and I are going through a testing time with a diagnosis of agressive prostate cancer.
We are waiting for results of a bone scan and treatment plan. How blessed we are to know our wonderful Lord has us, our present and our future in His hands. We are praying for peace and praising Him in this dark hallway while we wait for Him to open the next door. I love you, friend.

Oh Joyce, your comment brings tears to my eyes. Our lives felt shattered with the losses of Jerry and then Dick. God’s plans are so far beyond ours, and often beyond our comprehension. And now you and Bob face another waiting period with this diagnosis. I am so very sorry to hear this and will be praying for you both, whatever comes. May God surround you with His peace and Presence. Please keep me posted dear friend. We ARE in His loving hands. I love you too.

Oh, what a challenge this is Carol. I’ll be praying with you that a sale is completed. Blessings always.

Dear Carol, thank you for this heartfelt blog about waiting on God and trusting despite the stress of not knowing. Charles and I went through a similar season when trying to sell our property in San Diego so we could buy our home in Watsonville to be closer to family. We could not do the one without the other. Many potential buyers streamed through our condo and loved it–but not enough to purchase! Then at the truly last moment Charles’ daughter, who had had a recent breakup with her partner, needed a place of her own. She had always loved our condo so we made a great deal for her and for us and she is still there to this day. I often reflected on how this all turned out and concluded that God had our condo in mind for Kathleen so he held it for her till she was ready.

Karen, I so appreciate your sharing this story of how God in His wisdom held your condo for Kathleen, despite others who “loved it” but not enough to buy. That is an encouragement to me: that He has a plan and it is good. Much love.
